By accessing or using TRACKTHESTORM ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Use of Service

TRACKTHESTORM is a real-time storm chasing platform that allows registered storm chasers to share GPS trails, weather reports, and video from the field, and allows the public to follow active chasers on a live map.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Since we use magic links for authentication, keep your email account secure. Notify us immediately at support@trackthestorm.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Chaser accounts require approval by our team to ensure the safety and quality of data on the platform. We reserve the right to revoke chaser status at our discretion.

4. Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to TRACKTHESTORM, including GPS data, weather reports, videos, and profile information. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of weather reports and observations you file. TRACKTHESTORM does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted storm data. Do not submit false or misleading weather reports.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated storm reports or GPS data
• Impersonate another person or storm chaser
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in bulk without written permission
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to disrupt the Service

6. Disclaimer

TRACKTHESTORM is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Storm chasing is inherently dangerous. The data on this platform — including GPS locations, weather reports, and live streams — is provided by third-party users and is not verified by TRACKTHESTORM.

Do not use TRACKTHESTORM data to make safety decisions. Always follow guidance from official sources such as the National Weather Service. We are not responsible for any injury, death, or property damage that results from storm chasing activities or reliance on data from this platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TRACKTHESTORM and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
